Psalm 132:18 "His enemies I will clothe with shame, but upon himself his crown will shed its luster."
The crown we are striving for is lustrous. So much so that it will shed its light upon us, making us more beautiful for having attained it. This verse makes me think of our glorified (or not) bodies. When we get our bodies back, they will be different. If we have attained our crown, they will be shining with the beauty of Heaven, like Jesus at the Transfiguration. This luster is not coming from us, but from the source of light itself. When we merge with that light, when we are given its crown, we shine with its beauty.
For those who choose the opposite, the opposite is also true. Their resurrected bodies will reflect what they have chosen. There will be no crown for their heads, no light to shine on them, they will be clothed with shame for all eternity (although I still like to think about the things I discussed in To Be Continued ... Until It's Not and Ones and Zeros).
